About the Conference Headquarters

Osaka Prefectural Government and Sakai, Habikino, and Fujiidera City Governments established the Conference Headquarters for the Promotion of Mozu-Furuichi Kofungun for World Cultural Heritage Inscription (hereinafter referred to as “the Conference Headquarters”) in May 2011, aiming at the inscription of the Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group, which comprises mounded tombs of ancient Japan, on the World Heritage List.
The Conference Headquarters has been carrying out the scientific studies required to prepare the nomination, as well as disseminating information inside and outside of Japan and fostering a mood for inscription.
