10. Komoyamazuka Kofun

Komoyamazuka Kofun is a scallop shell-shaped mounded tomb constructed on the west side of the round rear part of Nintoku-tenno-ryo Kofun [2-1]. It is thought to be related to Nintoku-tenno-ryo Kofun as a satellite tomb.

The surviving length of the mound is 33 m, and its height is 4 m.

Both cylindrical and representational haniwa have been unearthed from the mound.

The construction period dates to the first half of the 5th century.

Walk 14 minutes to the west from Mikunigaoka Station on the JR Hanwa Line/Nakai Railway Koya Line, or 14 minutes to the south from Sakai-Higashi Station on the Nakai Koya Line.
