13. Hatazuka Kofun

Hatazuka Kofun is a scallop shell-shaped mounded tomb located between Nintoku-tenno-ryo Kofun [2-1] and Richu-tenno-ryo Kofun [15].

The mound length is 58 m, and the height of the round rear part is 3.8 m.

Representational haniwa were arranged along the terrace paved with small pebbles, which is rare in the Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group. Cylindrical haniwa and a wide variety of representational haniwa have been excavated from the area surrounding the projection.

The construction period dates to the first half of the 5th century.
